Kobelt 6533-K Electric Clutch Drive Unit

The 6533-K is a microprocessor unit that allows for the management of an electric clutch as part of a 6525 system. The 6533 is very similar to the 6525 microprocessor, and can be configured to single or twin engines.

This device can be used for multiple engine clutching operation. This unit is designed to accept the clutch command from the controls via the 7173-K amplifier and relay the appropriate signals to the engine clutch mechanism. The device can be located anywhere aboard ship, even in the steering compartment, because of the use of a watertight and corrosion-resistant enclosure that can protect the internal electronics from the effect of the environment. Operating in relay logic, the Model 6533-K can be configured to single or twin engine controls.
